Teutonia IV Moonphase with leather strap

50 years of moon landing or not: For all those who tick differently even on this topic, there are much more exciting things to report about the moon. For example, the fact that it has moved almost two meters away from the Earth in the last 50 years and will eventually detach itself completely from it. Or that since 2019 there has been a Teutonia from Mühle-Glashütte that captures the moon in a window at six o'clock for all eternity. ... Show more »

The moon is a disc
moon phase
Under a specially shaped dial window, an approx. 10 mm moon disk rotates once around itself in 59 days. The moon can be found on it twice. Thus, the approx. 29.5-day lunation is displayed in realistic one-day increments. The moon is displayed very realistically by imitating the craters of the real thing, which is about 384,000 km away.
Blue like the night sky
blued hands
The lancet-shaped hands for hour and minute as well as the second hand are blued and thus match the blue of the moon disk very well.
typical teutonia
Ground side
The middle part of the high-quality case has a vertical cut applied by hand - while the tops of the volute-shaped horns are finely polished.
Reduced to the essentials
Grained surface
The dial delights with a lightly grained surface that features applied indices, a crystal-clear minute scale and lancet-shaped hands with perfect scale length.
Icon from Glashütte

The design of the Teutonia IV

Characteristic of all Teutonia models is the intricately crafted case middle section with its volute-shaped horns and vertical cut, which is applied by hand. Compared to the Teutonia II, however, we have made the dial of the Teutonia IV much straighter. That means in detail: Beveled roof bezel instead of stepped B bezel - Clean, finely grained dial instead of traditional guilloché or luxurious ray cut.
30 years since our refoundation.

Time to celebrate.
